I work in the diversity, equity, and inclusion field and have been living at Hundredfold Farm, a cohousing community since 2007. I have been doing DEI work for 20 years in our community, at my university, Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg MD, and in the broader community. I currently serve as the director of DEI training and development, where I provide professional development opportunities for employees and students. I have presented at national conferences on DEI work and I have led our DEI strategic planning efforts at my institution. Most recently, I led a discussion group on Tema Okun's work on white supremacy culture at Hundredfold Farm, and we are working on ways to disrupt white supremacy culture in our meeting spaces and interactions more broadly.
I also have training in consensus facilitation and mediation and conflict resolution. I have attended training sessions by Laird Schaub and I am a certified mediator and conflict coach through Mediation Services of Adams County (PA). I have served on our community's facilitation team for over 10 years.
